Prime Academy crossed all limits in faking results of IIT-JEE 2011

If you believe in values like honesty and integrity, if you trust people for what they claim, read these handwritten texts of 3 students of IIT-Madras at your own peril:

These are actually just 3 of the at-least 30 ranks that Prime Academy, Pune has faked in IIT-JEE 2011 result.

If you want to know details, you can visit my blog: http://iitjee-pune-wellwisher.blogspot.in/2011/06/prime-in-crime-preparing-for-iit-jee.html/

But here, let me summarize for you the whole story in chronological order.
1) Prime Academy faked IIT-JEE 2010 result in many ways. It published the result of many students from other institutes which are being run by Prime Academy owner’s (Lalit Kumar) friends in other cities. Also most reserved ranks were given as general category ranks. Only on 2 ranks there were * marks to deceive everyone.

2) For entire 1 yr, no one realized about their fake result, which gave them the courage to continue with the practice.

3) As 2010, they got a very average result in IIT-JEE 2011 as well. Despite taking the results of institutes of friends, the greed of Lalit Kumar (owner Prime Academy) was not quenched. So through a mediator he got introduced to Mr S Chandrasekhar who finally got for him the result from an institute called Math Academy based in Chennai and Trivandrum. Apart from that reserved category ranks were given as general category ranks with no indication whatsoever.

4) Lots of advertisements were given by Prime Academy in various newspapers that 51 out of 139 (though they had none less than 350 students) from their academy qualified.

5) Thanks to the application by an IIT Kanpur student and my blog, all this fraud came out in open. The IIT-JEE registration numbers of 23 students who cleared JEE which they claimed as their students do not start with 1, which meant that all these 23 students were not from Bombay Zone (Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa), forget Pune.

6) 6 months after the IIT-JEE result prime academy made an attempt to correct their results by indicating *mark before reserved category ranks. And for those 23 students not from Bombay zone, they wrote a line below their result that this list also includes outstation students supported by our ‘CRASH COURSE’. The obvious question is, why would 23 students, most of them from Chennai zone come to Pune and that too to Prime Academy for crash course? Most people do not think so strongly and using such means, they got their admissions done.

7) Anyway, I had given up on them but then I found that on social networking site, facebook, they have started planning for fake result in 2012 as well. How? Lalit kumar has started putting his pics, saying that Lalit sir is teaching student from other cities. Do you think it is justified to put results of institutes where you just went once a yr to take a lecture?

8) I contacted only 3 of these many students whom I suspected of fake results. And, it did not surprise me that all 3 of them had never ever heard of Prime Academy. The students felt frustrated and shocked that some institute in Pune is using their ranks to gain mileage.

I had these write-ups for a month now and could have brought their true colours in front of everyone before, but I did not want to disturb the 400 students of Prime Academy (thanks to their fake results year after year) who are writing IIT-JEE 2012 on 8th April, who could have lost faith not just in their teachers and teacher fraternity in general, but may be their preparation itself, which was done under these dubious people.

To top it all, teachers at Prime Academy including the owner fake their own IIT-JEE ranks. Can children learn from teachers whom they cannot look up to?
This is not to suggest that there are no good teachers left. I am sure there are teachers and institutes which genuinely care for students and work hard yearlong to get good results. But fake results like these belittle their achievements.

Many of you would assume that it is an act by a competitor. Even if this were true, does that justify their faking results? Does that make this any less disgusting an act? Do you think anyone can rise above law and commit frauds fearlessly?

According to Martin Luther King, Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
